Hi Guys,

I just boought a Type R spolier for my ep2 facelift and am having trouble removing the tiny old spolier. I can see to remove the two bolts on the far end but i duno how to get two the bolts holding it on in the middle? Is there a guide for removing it as i cant find one? if not anyone have any ideas? think you gotta remove the plastic trim inside the rear window but not sure.

cheers

take of the brake light, and there are 2 bolts behind it.

To remove it take of the plastic from the boot lip, should just pop off, then there are 2 bolts on the brake light. remove them and you'll see 2 more bolts which connect the spoiler to boot.

Thats the only thing im worried about when my spoiler arrives haha. "Should" pop off. Feels like its going to break or something is going to snap!

It won't matter. If something snaps it's the little plastic studs that hold the piece to the boot. Let's see, I've broken about 10 of those studs all over the car while removing the trimming. So I think you'll be fine. And I think you can buy them from

You basically need to cut a lump of each end where it sits on the glass. Not too hard and when its in your hands you'll see exactly where it needs to come off.

be sure it doesnt sit directly on the glass though, it might break it when you hit a bump, theres some velcro like pads on the underside of your original spoiler that you can carry over to pad the underside of the new spoiler. :D
