UK spec K20A2 will be 8,250rpm.

redline the car is not gaining anymore power....than hitting the vtec point then change gear. Change gear earlier will get the best performance. Unless your car is highly tuned!!!

If you look at EP3 dyno result you can see power drop after 8000 rpm's so you don't have to rev to the redline.
but change gear before vtec point :thumbup: :lol:

I know it drops off after 8k rpm, but to change before vtec would be pointless. :lol: You wont be getting the full power of the engine. You might aswell buy an Astra. :thumbup:

I don't know how you interpreted Epmon's text, but I'm pretty sure that's not what he meant. :lol: Let me type in how I understood his writing:

Redlining the car (close to limiter) will gain as little power as hitting the vtec point and then immediately changing gear. Gear change earlier (just on the redline) will get the best performance. However, if your car is highly tuned then the car will produce it's max hp on and over the limiter (see Remould's car) thus you should drive like a wacko

everyones wanting your wheels gus lol saw two ek9s with bright orange wheels looked to minging tho , thewy were silver cars , think yours is the daddys :thumbup: cause its done tastefully
