@BB Baboonface nightmare! lol didnt leave til 5.30pm, got home at 8.30pm traffic was awful

To be fair, it ended up being a totally pointless and expencive day lol

from waiting since 9am for a smaller belt to arrive, it finally turned up at 2pm. Yes i was sat an TDi for 5 hours lol

they got the 3.2 pulley and belt fitted and then onto the dyno for 2 hours!

Paul couldn't get the power any higher then 285bhp because the clutch couldn't hold, just kept slipping. Still got the OEM clutch on, i knew it would need replacing at some point due to the extra power the charger puts on it. Ive done well to get 2+ years out of it. Does feel better to drive but now i need a new clutch. Didnt think i was going to get home at one point, about 30 mins my house i started slipping like made and stinking but i managed to tip toe home.

Few things they found :

Small leak from the oil sump (needs a new rubber)

Tracking out

Buckled front alloy (was bouncing on the dyno)

HKS b-pipe too restrictive, need 3"

More money!!

Damn man! Bit of a saga then!

Guess we both have a few bob to spend yet, at least if you still have the clutch parts around then its just a case of fitting it.

Back to TDI for another mapping session at some point i suppose, hopefully to clinch the 300!

Rooting for you bud  ;)

Managed too get a long time out of your clutch! What's happening next for it? I imagine the clutch will be your main priority? I'll have a 3" b pipe spare for cheapies if you haven't got one by the time I get mine sorted!

Took the car upto TDi early last week with Dannyhack to have a new clutch and LSD fitted.

Went for a Competition Clutch Stage 2. Nearly went for the Stage 4 and its the same price but im glad i didnt, the stage 2 is sharp enough as it is, grips like a bitch lol

Spend all day at TDi while they fitted everything, the OEM clutch was knackered, or as they put it, 'as flat as a witches tits'. It had even started cutting into the flywheel so had to get that ground down flat.

Front engine mount insert rubbers were split so they replaced them with a cheaper alternative as oem honda ones are suppose to be like £100+, they do transfer more vibration into the car though, feels like a racing car now haha.

whilst the clutch was out a had a mfactory LSD fitted as it made scene to do it at the same time. Don't really see the point in it but hey, i cant tell that much difference unless i boot it round a roundabout. feels like your going to spin out but you dont.

all in all it was a good day, long, but good. Thank god they had an xbox in the waiting area otherwise i dont know what we would have done!

Ash where did you get your show plates from been looking for some. Car looks well.

@chrismartin - Tegiwa sell Jap show plates http://www.tegiwaimp...show-plate.html

I've looked into the show plates as well to get it accurate ... There are actually 4 Honda factories in Japan in different states none of which made the EP tho oh well ... If you could make them I reckon a few people would be interested

@dabrad89 - all EP3s were built in Swindon.  JDM models were built in Swindon and shipped to Japan

Had a new front and rear mount bushing too, vibration is mad isnt it?!

You definitely feel more connected to the motor though haha!

Are you going for a remap at some point, and how does it feel with the LSD?

Sorry for all the questions!

Hi Ash yesterday i was researching on the issue of the JRSC not making any whine noise and found out that at one point you have also posted that you had this issue, have you ever figured it out? thanks

@Fabian Abela yeah

1. my exhaust was so loud

2. belt wasn't tight enough. I modded in oem tensioner which gave a better result, had it remapped and it whines now :)
