ebay induction kit

anyone tell me if these are actually any good??? at the end of the day the typhoon and aem do the same job essentially? or is there something im missing, ?? or even pipercross i no there foam and make a louder grunt noise but a dunno any help appreciated cheers!!

don't bother, cheap for a reason :lol: the filters are so cheap they start to disintegrate and that really fucks up your engine, plus the pipe is probably just painted with cheap mirror finish stuff so bits will flake off again causing the engine problems. you spend a bit more you get one thats been dyno tested and actually designed for the engine, not just cheap parts stuck together. ive got the pipercrss foam one and i love it, good sounds and good smooth acceleration/gearchanges from it :lol:

aye a was looking at them might just invest in one, your probarly right, u get what you pay for at the end of the day...

i cut corners on my last car and seriously regret it, cut springs and the like ;) just save up an extra month and get a decent one, mines was about £45 second hand off :lol: and its a real treat, one of my first mods on the car actually :lol:

moneys not a problem, i used to have the aem in my old civic an holy sh*t was it good!! never really bought a cheap induction kit was just really wondering...

fair play, i can't comment on the aem's or k&n but i know the piperx is a good un :lol:

yeah, pics dont do it justice, shitty cameraphone :lol: wheels are needing a lick of paint though, there flaking off giving a white grey and black camoflague look :lol:

New to the forum, have to just state that i had a ej8 with a cold air induction kit that sat behind the front bumper no different to the aem. I paid around £40 for it brand new and it was an ebay one and can vouch that i had no problems what so ever with it obviously its not dyno tested ec but seemed to perform well
