The time has come to finally replace my tyres, having never done so before I'm a bit stuck
First question,
The present tyres are 195/60/15, if I was to replace with 195/50/15 would this present problems with speed, handling, insurance etc?
Second,
What am I best with out of
Toyo CF1 or T1-R
Kumho KH17 or 18
Firestone 300
Falken Ziex ZE-912
Cheers!
Tyre size/ choice?

the reduction in profile will very slightly alter the speedo reading. You probably wouldn't notice it though.
As for the choices, I'm using Kumho KU31's atm, and rate them very highly for road use, and at £50 a tyre they are a steal

Toyo T-1R's are awesome tyres mate! Good for fast road use but they are quite soft, theyre expensive and not fantastic in the wet!
Depends how you drive

ive got kuhmo K11s on mine and they're nice and sticky! But im running 195/45/16s lol, and im 100% convinced (after 400 miles this weekend) that there buggering my MPG and my speedo is way out, ive got a GPS speedo, and when thats reading exactly 70 cruising my speedo on the dash is reading nearer 85! lol

Went for Maxxis MAP1's as I'm saving the pennies at the moment, will see how they do, gotta be better than the Sava shite I'm replacing though!
