Can anybody suggest any speakers that are the same size as the standard rear ones please. My new stereo needs some new speakers. I don't wanna have to do modifications to anything, I just want them to slot in the same space and preferably have multiple screw point so I can screw into the same holes.

Cheers

Alright dude, Sorted ages ago, Bought some 6" FLI integrators for £25, better than the standard ones and more bass from them, just the left one makes annoying vibrating noises when bass comes in so I reckon something needs securing or buffering.
Cheers anywho mate

Pack of M6 nuts and bolts, 2 MDF Speaker rings and your choice of 6.5" speaker.

Mount the rings to the metal and plastic, drill out the holes if needs be. and use a drill bit bigger than the bolt head to counter sink it.

Pre-drill some small 3MM holes, then screw the speaker into the MDF rings using self tappers.

Sound deaden the metal behind it too if you have some. It will make the word of difference, especially if your running off the headunit. The rear quarters ring like feck! Give them a tap with your knuckle on the outside. That ringing is wasted bass :(

Shouldnt have a problem as there isnt a window to foul or anything. Not many normal speakers will be that deep. If it is, just double up on 18MM rings.

What exactly are you trying to install? 185MM seems a bit bif for conventional 6.5" speakers. You may well need 2 speaker rings, but it'll just make it more solid ime.

Sorry I got muddled up the depth is only 95 mm so I take it thatll be fine with a few rings or so.
Cheers guys.
