What should be my first step? A friend of mine has an EK9 and has told me eibach springs, thoughts?

I live in Alfreton, Derbyshire too if you guys know any good local parts dealers?

Coilovers would be a much better choice. Especially as the mileage is getting higher, the dampers will break quite fast on springs.

I wouldn't waste your money on the £160 tbh. More than likely to break. Decent ish sets start at around £500 for Tein or D2 kits and go up to around £1000 for Buddyclub.

May have to save up for a while then lol
