I am going to buy this headunit to fit in my car:

http://www.extremeau...co.uk/products/ ... 00ub/2468/

What do I need to install it? I know about a new fascia, am going to get a black one from audiosecurity. But what else do I need?

Also ive just bought a fli 800w 10" active sub that I want to install, it comes with a wiring kit. Do I need anything else to fit it?

Any help would really be appreciated

mate you will need a iso adaptor lead for the back to connect the wires from your head unit to your wiring loom on the car you can buy the facia adaptor and the lead off  for around a tenner or halfords but they will be more

as for the wiring kit foir the sub you should get everything you need to install it in your car the best place for the earth is in the boot i connected mine to the rear strut under the carpet

I saw that one too, theres quite a few now for £15 including the ISO lead which is good.

Anyone know if these are the right adaptors for our speakers?

I would think so. I didn't know anyone made them specifically for our cars. If your not sure, then the Vauxhall Vectra ones definitrely fit. That's what most people use.

What kind of system will you run from it? Notice that it only has 1 pre-out and that limits your system a lot. I have this - with 3 pre-outs there's so much more flexibility in syour system

But it has a sub out as well so I would be able to hook up a sub and speakers?

I'm getting a sub and a set of component speakers. Is it no good for it?

The "direct sub drive" means a Pioneer thing. You bridge the rear speaker leads to get around 60watts of constant power to drive a subwoofer. Sure you'll be able to wire it up like that, but it won't sound very good. Also, if you try to turn up the volume a lot you'll risk of breaking your sub. I assume the subwoofer you're getting is 12" or bigger?

Noo the one im getting for now is a 10" Fli trap, Im getting a bigger one soonish.

I'm looking at spending about £110 on my headunit, am I going to get anything better then this for that price? I just want a decent one that I can use my iPod with.

Well if you're only going for a 10", then for £110 that Pioneer is one of the best you're going to get. When you get a bigger sub, I suggest you use that pre-out for that. You can power a decent component system/coaxials with your headunit.
