firstly, i'm jammy cos i'm insured through work, so the mods don't make a difference. if i crash they might say 'hey, we aint shelling out an extra 650 quid for your carbon bonnet' but i would still be fully covered fully comp for the standard car at least...

that said, i really do need to sort out an agreed value for the car, they know it's modified but they don't know what's been done or how much it stands me at, but it's a very hazy policy anyway. might put a few hundred quid a year on the premium, but that's ok. 5 stud conversion, buddyclub wheels, Type R brakes, followed by big disc conversion soon anyway, so at least the car should stop before i get chance to hit anything! *touches wood*

and unfortunately nickyboy, er, you can't have my seats until they are upgraded. i say that as if it is planned. unfortunately, it isn't...!

oh, and ray, there's no point in an engine swap, as the 1.4 will be worth plenty as a good replica.

when it comes to Type R time, it'll be a prefacelift in silver. it'll provide the bonnet, wheels, oem discs, anything i need to make the EP1 look just like a standard Type R, and my vast collection of goodies will be put onto the EP3, inc 5 stud 18" wheels etc, which i cleverly fitted to my EP1 by fitting Type R hubs, all a long term plan you see!
