From what I have read there is alot of mixed opinions as to which induction kit is infact the best to fit to a ep2 sport. I was wondering if someone can give me a definative answer to this question.

To the best of my knowledge I can see that the choice is between either:

AEM CAI

or

V2

And If AEM CAI is the best option, then should I get a short or long ram?

Thanks

I did a research on this when i had my EP2. BMC CAI is highly rated, if not, then the V2.

The BMC CAI isn't that loud tho is it? Due to being encolsed in carbon, amd also looking for a good induction tone

Am I right in thinking that my best bet is a AEM V2?

Only problem is I can't really find anywhere that sells AEM V2's for an ep2

Anyone got any sites etc that sell them?

Can you let me know what they say when you have spoke to them?

Might have to give them a ring to

Have found this one :) from the states:

http://cgi.:).com/ebaymotors/AEM-V2-A ... ccessories

Not sure if it will fit an ep2 though, does anyone know what type of kit fits the ep2? Ive heard some people saying the 1.7 one fits, and other saying you need the EX one

Yes mate, this is the one in my car!... But double check with them, the one in the picture is exactly same as mine so just ask them if its that one you will be getting...

Before you buy anything, check with sumpower first because this one from US is pretty expensive (with exchange rate being crap). When i purchased mine, it was £210 inc delivery but this was 2yrs ago. Last one i saw was on http://epcivic.com/f...tyle_emoticons/default/icon_ebaylogo.gif brand new for £220 so it hasnt gone up that much. But do check with sumopower or give abp motorsport a call, because they stock allot of AEm products. www.abpmotorsport.co.uk

So I take it sumo and abpmotors both don't really advertise online, is all done over the phone?

Btw if I cant get hold of a AEM V2, is a AEM CAI long ram worth getting?

Apparently they are better then the short ram ones because they avoid heatsoak?

And you can avoid sucking up puddles by using a hydrasheild? Not that I would have a clue where to buy one from for it lol

Really? I have been looking at the BMC as the kit does look good, and the performance gains (or non-losses) seem rather decent on it due to, as you said, the kit not being affected by heat soke.

The only problem that I saw with that kit was the induction noise. Have heard that it is not that loud? But do you think it has a good induction tone?

The price of it is also quite good, being cheaper then the AEM by a bit

Do you have a part number or anything for your BMC? I want 1. Was going to go for AEM Short Ram but defo decided against this now after a lot of research this evening.
