I've finally got it all built! Just need to get it fitted! hehe
This is how it looked when i first got hold of the stock D16Y8 Intake manifold:
And here as it stands today (Modified with D17A2 Throttle Body, Injectors and all Sensors attached) :
With a bit of luck it'll all work. All i need to do is cut up my K&N Typhoon CAI when it's fitted so i can attach the filter.
Should give me a few extra BHP (fingers crossed)
Comments / Questions are welcome.
Cheers!
Steve.

Awesome work mate You should build these conversions and sell them on
Lol, cheers mate, i don't have time to do that though...
I just randomly found this old post of mine when i was searching for pictures on Google, so thought i'd best bump it in case anyone is interested.

i have the inlet im just waiting to find a injector plate for cheaper then what honda sell them for its abit of hard work trying to find one so if any 1 has a link on where to find one and steve i might send u a pm soon about pictures to see whats the bast way to do things
I managed to get a complete D17 Intake assembly (Throttle body, injectors, fuel rail, manifold etc) for just £14 on eBay. Keep a look out, one will eventually turn up.
Wow, just checked the price for the Injector Plate (item 7: Injector Base) on the Lings Honda website. Costs almost £60!

lol i think thats relatively cheap seeing as people regularly spend £150+ on induction kits how much would this conversion cost ?
It cost me about £300 in total for everything you see in the finished picture (inc parts, welding and machining), you'll also need to make your own induction kit and get a re-map afterwards, so that'll also bump up the price.

what sort of things was u typing into ebay to find them ive been trying all sorts and been emailing breakers and they was like theres it might come with it but it might not so just hard trying to find 1 i really want to get the conversion done
The intake manifold plate from our cars is from the D16V1 engine. There are usually a fair few on ebay. Just buy the entire intake manifold. They're like £30
The D16Y8 intake manifold is quite rare because it's from the Civic Coupe SR (99-00). Not many around as theyre USDM. My mate has one.
If you are struggling to find one then try the D16Z6 intake manifold. Very common engine in the UK as it came in all the 1.6 VTEC hatchbacks from 5th gen and 6th gen civics. You have to do exactly the same work to that manifold to make it fit and will give you very similar gains.
D17 throttle body may be difficult to come by. It's from the D17A2 engine found in the EM2 coupe. Not many about in england. Try searching for Civic 1.7 Coupe 2001-2003. They never made the facelift version here in the UK, only the USA.
Hope this helps

Im i just being stupid ... if this is the same part that i already have why do i need to buy a new one cant it just be reused ?
Well it's just for the sake of £30 then your car doesn't have to be off the road while your conversion is being built! If you don't need your car then you don't need to buy a plate, just use the one on your car
