bump :)

Need this too. Maybe just modifying 5th gear ratio, or just the final drive?
Some mechanics here? Is it possible?

... googling ...

Apparently, there is such thing on ebay that final drive set, just not for Ep2 :S

Wow, check this:

http://www.gearspeed.../oegs-ex5gs.htm

Not final drive, just 5th gear set, and pretty cheap.
... don't really know what 27 - 38 and 28 - 37 teeth does :S

I mean 27/38 = 0.71 and 28/37 = 0.757, but what is the oem?

What you done to your ep2 to make it top 125mph on the track.
My old civic crx 1991 had a d16 16v engine if the box from one of those would fit there good for 140mph

I found this about gear ratios:

Gear ratio for D16V1 engine models
1st 3.142
2nd 1.869
3rd 1.241
4th 0.969
5th 0.805
Reverse 3.230
Final reduction Type Single helical gear
Gear ratio 4.411

02 Civic DX LX USDM Hydro 3.462 1.870 1.241 0.970 0.711 3.231 4.111
02 Civic EX USDM Hydro 3.143 1.870 1.241 0.970 0.757 3.231 4.412

So based on these data THIS would be perfect, because it makes the 5th gear ratio to 0.71, equal to a 2002 USDM DX civic (D17A2 engine I think).
That's pretty much an improvement! BUT, does it fit? :hmm:

The final drive of a DX would also be nice, but I want the 5th gear, it's only $135 :)

... just sent an e-mail to GearSpeed, waiting for the reply :|
