Found the thread, that wheel you posted was off an Integra, someone said it happened by him hitting a kerb.

What is up with you? I never say that picture was the same accident. I simply say the damage was similar from what my friend said.

Buckled? bit more than that I would say.

nah a thot it was a diff story with that integra cause u said your mates rear wheels buckled rather then the front (by buckled a mean give way) but if u think of crashing into a kerb on full opposit lock and hitting it dead on depending on the hight of the kerb ect that couuld easly happen am not going to go out and try it tho

tbh it does seem a coincidence that both his wheels went at the same time...

it could happen but highly unlikely.

he must have done something to trigger it, putting extra pressure on them or something... i.e.. fast round corner shifting weight onto that side..

i dont know, and i'm not saying he was driving daft or anything just saying it's extremely unlikey that they both went at once

Of all the Rota wheels that I have found to have failed, EVERY set that I have been able to investigate has been a result of a sudden impact... most commonly with a kerb.
One guy hit a kerb at over 100mph, cracked his spokes and BLEW A FIST SIZED HOLE IN EACH TYRE. That takes a massive impact that any wheel (even forged ones) would struggle with
