I can't decide if its because i've not had a loud car for almost a year that i just need time to get used to it. But the car sounds so loud (but a deep growl, subaru like). Is there anyway to quieten it down? i think custom exhaust places can put a silencer in it, am i correct?

any help would be appreciated

Paddy

Just got it fitted yesterday. Bought it off a guy from the other site. I don't know if its just because its a cat-back that its so loud or what?

Does get a lot of looks tho, i think people must think its some sort of beast coming along the road, then i roll into view lol :D

Paddy did you get it off a guy on strathy? Anyway try phoning motorsport world in strathaven or C & C exhausts in hillington, they should be able to advise you of the best options. they should be able to do something. Is it a decat exhaust? cause that could make a difference

nah, off of civicEP2.co.uk . I'm goin to give it a week and see how it goes, if its annoying me i'll give C+C a phone (thats who fitted it) and see what my options are. the exhaust looks :D . i do quite like the noise but it does go for your ears a bit :D .

Ps I'm still waiting on my account to be activated on strathy (have been waiting a week :D ), i always have a swatch on it but never bothered joining until now.

nah, i've still got my standard exhaust. It does sound good but too loud. I might get used to it for now though. I'll try deadening the boot floor, because i'm planning a sub soon anyway. The exhaust is kinda on off, its okay when your cruising at a speed and its okay when you drive normally, its just when you high rev it it goes really deep. One minute i love it, next i hate it lol. Its stayin for now though. I do love the look of the jap can though :D
