That whirring noise your hearing is the clutch release bearings. It absolutely nothing to worry about. all it is is the bearings have worn in, not out. Only if your car has got serious high miles do you need to worry.

clutch release as in thrust bearing? my ep has the same but when it warms up it goes away,sounds xactlly like the thrust bearing that went on my girls vitara

I'm getting a very feint whirring noise when I put my foot down on the clutch, can only really hear it at a standstill, dunno it if its much to worry about for me personally, but usually if you modify a car it voids the warranty, which covers all aspects of the car I think, so just hope they are feeling nice if you take it to honda!
