So everyone is doing progress threads so i thot i would start on of my own ^^

I got my EP1 start of february 2008 and its my second car (first was a 1.2 fiesta) So i was well chuffed with the upgrade !

anyway heres the first day i got her !

So first things first, The last owner had stuck on an Ek9 Type R badge to the front lol and a Type R badge to the side skirts, after 20 mins with the hair dryer !

Next was a good clean its had a hard life up until now and the paintwork needed alot of attention so this is after its first wash wax n clay session !

Now for a good bit ... The service ! Done in this were the following, Brakes air and oil filter with full oil change and spark plugs all carried out at my m8s garage (The speed shop :D

So with that all done i got set back to getting the car clean, after a few weeks workin hard i end up with ...

Hehe, after a weekend of waiting (bank holidy grumble grumble) my powerflow exauhst arrived !

Thats all for now, im a student so funds are always tight next things to be done are CTR spoiler, front and rear lips then alloys and induction kit !

i need my paintwork done to, it's not that shiny :lol:
and i know what you mean, i'm a student to so funds are tight indeed :D

great work! in the pic where the oil filter is being changed it looks like the car has dropped on the bloke under the car!! lol

@ Barnsey yeah i found it quite easy m8 i worked out the trick is to use least amount of lube possible (lol) the kit was 20 quid and i got 2 bars polish and a microfiber towel meguirs stuff is crakin!

@ Ash lol well its a m8 of mine (G) we do alot of stuff at his house lol hes a top bloke always good rant aswell :lol:

I just bought the same meguirs kit you used and intend to do it this weeked, although it says the panels need to be cool and out of direct sunlight which i cant see happening as fife is rather scorchio at the moment.

Does the sun really affect it that much, i'd hate to put all that effort in and get sh*t results.

I have never noticed a difference in sun or not, guess if its to hot the clay will melt lol !

erm not sure, will measure it and let you know it does give a deep impressive rumble tho :D

Nah there proper honda ones i think they look ok but when i get the cash there gettin changed lol :D

Yeah briz sparkplugs were fubarred what a difference the service made !

the thing with polishing your car in direct sunlight is that it dries the polish out too quick. your better off doing it in the shade so that the polish gets a chance to work in. also its harder to take polish off once its dried on.

washed it today but work in 20min so polish and wax first thing in the morning for me, will clay it one of these days as i think its desperately needed.
