Saw a EP behind me tonight and its sidelights were almost blueish colour, it looked really good, my standard ones look more yellow!

reading a previous post i found out that sidelight bulbs are '501'

found these on ultraleds.co.uk





States 'This bulb is our Brightest 501'

There not expensive either so thought id give them a try!
You think ill get any bother from PC Plod?

i got these bulbs from them yesterday

they are white but more a HID white, 5.5k, close to the 6k temp.

They look real good when its dead dark outside so ill take another pic.

cheaper than the ones your going to buy and more led's

just look daft with the "orange" headlights. cant wait to get hids end of the month

The pre facelift lights are really really dull im thinkin about new ones but dunno what :/

Look like a cheaper alternative to HIDs. Do they do dipped and full beam bulbs too?

cheaper than the ones your going to buy and more led's

May be cheaper but mine are BRIGHTER!

yours will look more blue no doubt, mine have a slight hint but nothing major.

and no you cant have led main beam bulbs!

im still wanting on my red interior light, once i get it ill be selling the blue one they sent wrong...

I had led sidelights on my old car and they really dont look as good as the normal 501's even though their brighter mainly because they have a very focused light and because the civic kinda has a seperate compartment for the sidelight it kinda looks sh*t. I got these normal 501 bulbs from but with a blue tint and they look great imo

1. 501 W5W XENON GAS BULBS THIS ARE NATURAL BLUE GLASS NOT PAINTED

how easy are urs to change? wheel arch or bonnet job? mine was bonnet 2 second job once the springs in the holder let me push them in.

still need one when its dark tho to see the real brightness of the things.

mine look blueish against other cars but i dunno :S only 5k or 5.5k temp light tho.

also managed to blow the fuse but luckly id blown the cig light few months ago and i got two 15A fuses so i was saved lol

its typical when u want it to get dark to take a pic the bloody clocks change and it takes longer lol

cant see there being a problem with the old bill like.

i aint had a problem and had traffic cops infront and behind me and even drive past the odd time.

they look a bit blueish but thats compared with my halogen bulbs... but they are 5.5k temp white light.
