Sticky and lock?

Quite a common modification for the EP1/2 is to change the somewhat boring standard 'H' badge located on the tailgate, front grille and steering wheel, to the Type-R style red badges.

As the topic is pretty common, there's always a thread asking what size they need, will these ones on :D fit, what are the part numbers or how do I remove the badges?

So here's all you need to know, click the links to be re-directed to that section.

* Which badge to get (including measurements and part numbers. All measurements are within 1mm)
* How to remove the Rear Badge
* How to remove the Grille Badge

Which badge to get?

FACELIFT MODELS (2004-2005)

Front Grille badge:
Measurements = 99mm x 122mm ( 3.93" 4 83").
Honda Part Number: 75700-S5T-E11

PRE FACELIFT MODELS (2001-2003)

Front Grille badge:
Measurements = 74mm x 92mm ( 2.94" 3 64").
Honda Part Number: 75700-S5T-E01

BOTH MODELS

Tailgate badge:
Measurements = 51 x 64mm ( 2.04" 2 52").
Honda Part Number: 75701-S5T-E01

Steering Wheel badge:
Unless you want to spend £100 on a Type-R steering wheel, there is a £5 workaround.
You can purchase the red steering wheel sticker from here for only £5. What's more, you'll be supporting epcivic.com!

i've just bought a prefacelift red badge for the front (checked the part number = correct.) and it doesn't seem to fit. my OEM EP2 badge is slightly larger then my EP3 front badge. What 's wrong? :wink:

Great post but I was wondering if I bought a red Honda badge that did'nt have glue on it (off a Type R scrap) what could I use for glue would sticky tape be sufficient?

Thanks Damon

I would use some form of bonding solution, sticky tape will fall off.

Tigerseal (might be tigerbond) will do it nicely.

the pre facelift is a different part number to the facelift and thus smaller...
