Hey guys, so been on here about a year or so, and for all that time have wanted a Civic soooo bad! I have read up on them, drove them and knew exactly what I wanted. I have saved my ass off for a year and now have £4-5K to spend on a car. I have been looking for a EP2 for a while now but just waiting on the right one. So i have been pretty much set on getting a civic. That was until I seen this:

Its a 08 Subaru Impreza 2.0 RX. Lovely machine, puts out 150bhp and is only group 8 insurance (main reason for wanting)

This is obviously alot more expensive - £9,450, but only has 22K on the clocks and is fully loaded with all the latest tech inside (sat nav, rear camera, premium sound system) and also it has symmetrical 4 wheel drive!

its a tough choice between this and a EP2. Any body any ideas???

Theres plenty of really nice motors out there for the same money as the subaru though.

Get the EP2 and then join us in NI men as we are growing in numbers. And if you really want some extra power in the future you can always get an ep3 in a year or two when your insurance drops

I'd be disappointed spending 10k and not getting a performance car, rather have the ep2 or a fast diesel

I would feel better paying 10 grand and have a car that I could easily push alot more power out of and keep til im 25/26 then buy something like an EP3 or an evo.

But I loves the EP2's too much lol. Such a tough decision :/

Im 21 with no NCB and under 2 years driving expierience. Ive tried insurance on an EP3 and its costing £8k!! for the EP2 its £1700 and the scooby is £2400!

LOL insurance is a c*nt here in NI :(

btw this is what im driving at the moment:

Yeah thats why I want! Also with a new exhaust and a decent induction kit & remap this will be pushing serious power,

This is what I want it to look like

Well... That fiesta is a 12 plate... so surely if you sold that then you would be able to afford that subaru without any problems?

Either way... 10k and only 150bhp I would say is not worth it.

Think about it... after a year or 2 and insurance has gone down considerably, you could afford an ep3 AND insure it for that 10k.

I'd say go for the EP2... I do like the hatchback subarus though.

I really like them subarus :D if it was me in this situation I would wait till I got at least 1 years no claims at your age and then sell the 12 plate fiesta which should go for quite a lot? And look into buying a dc5 because I like them a lot more :D but couldn't justify spending 10k on something that has as much bhp as a fiesta :P
