£14 each though!

My light is still off, 2 weeks now.
I left the cars wireing, and cut the connector off of the seat.
I doubt very much i will be putting the other seats back in.
My car will be sold as is when the time comes! lol.

It does make sense when you think about it.

You crimp the new block onto the cable coming from the car. This is FEMALE block(A)
The resistor loom is conntected to a MALE block (B), which plugs into the new block (A) that you just installed.

And now you have a MALE Block (C) that gets crimped onto the wire coming from the seat.
Then you can cap it off with the FEMALE Block (D).

This means that when you put the original seats back in the car, you plug block C into Block A. No stripping is needed, just unplugg the resistor block and then remove the cap end.

The Cap isnt really needed when the seats are removed, but i guess it keeps the plug clean and dirt free.

Does that make sense?

yea sort of.

but im giving it a few month or so before i mess about with seats. if your resistor job is working or the kits are still working then ill be getting recaro seats put in.

maybe a bucket for me and normal for someone else as mine never gets moved anyway.

nice one salty, good post ! yea you change your normal seat connection for the recaro connection too! Im not doing that until i put them back in like, if i ever do, incase i decide to sell my sport seats ! :D

About the thing where the system detects it though, wouldnt it be unsafe if it was taking months for the airbag system to check it isnt working !? The resistor value isnt going to change and its securely connected !

I got more expensive resistors this time about £1 each and the lights been off about a month now. Hopefully thats it sorted.

The last resistors i got were 6p each lol. No wonder the light only stayed off for a few weks at a time.

Each seat has 2 Ohms resistance. But due to the weird values you get resistors in, the closest you can get is 1.8

I have a 1.8Ohm resistor in each seat and they have been fine! No lights appeared yet.
